So Audemars Piguet has bought us a new automatic Royal Oak, this time in the Selfwinding series and more specifically in the 41mm 15500 series. When compared to the older reference 15400, the new model doesn’t feel like a significant update. However, even if the overall concept and design remain similar, there is more than meets the eye in this new 15500.Also, the blue dial of this aesthetically beautiful 41mm Selfwinding Royal Oak timepiece offers new subtle details likebroader indexes, a date window further away from the center and a minute train printed on the outer area, and The main update,though,isthe new movement.This movement is unique and has been developed internally by AP as a modern caliber. It measures 32mm in diameter, which is an appropriate measurement for modern-sized watches, including this 41mm Royal Oak Selfwinding. Compared to the previous caliber 3120, it displays several mechanical improvements. Furthermore, the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 41mm 15500 comes with an array of improvements. The movement is better in many ways – visually and mechanically. Also, the dial, with the new position of the date window and a more precise definition of the guilloche pattern, is a lovelywelcoming upgrade.
